Ma.K: To The Dead...

Felt like painting some more Maschinen Krieger stuff as it's been a while.

The title and what's written on the destroyed wall is a reference to a Voltaire quote I really like; 'One owes respect to the living. To the dead, one owes only the truth'.

Took a bit more time with this one - not sure how much... I just know it took longer than usual. :-)

Star Trek - Nero

Painting people is one of the things I really need to work on so I got a screen cap of the Star Trek trailer and started painting the villain, Nero.

I chose him because he's more interesting looking than the other characters and the lighting in this scene is awesome.

Red Faction: Wallpaper

This is just an updated version of the Red Faction image from last week to fix some problems and make it into a desktop wallpaper. I posted it on the Official Red Faction: Guerrilla Forums and they put my work on the front page of their site - color me a happy camper!

I had a lot of fun doing the original sketch so I wanted to work on it some more and give it a more 'finalized' look - something that I can add to my portfolio.

Speedpaint Duo

These two were exercises in doing speed roughs that may eventually
be turned into final concepts... I only spent around 30-40mins on each and kept much of the looseness in each.

I tell you, if I'm not stealing lines form The Simpsons, Seinfeld or Arrested Development I'm rehashing my own crap. ;-P

This was originally just the top version but I thought it looked similar to a piece done by Razer over at www.ConceptArt.org so I turned it into an homage.
