Nothing to Report

Firstly, for those interested;

My last painting 'Faerie Birthing Grounds' that I entered into a Fantasy Landscape competition on DeviantArt won 2nd place out of a total of 106 entries. I'm pretty happy about that. :)

Now, onto my latest work;

I can't even remember when I actually started this one... at least a few months ago and I had completely forgotten about it.

I thought it deserved to be finished and shown.

Inspired by and an homage to Matt Rhodes and his awesome concept work on Mass Effect.

Faerie Birthing Grounds

So, this is the final version of the enviro sketches I uploaded a couple of weeks ago (found here). I went with the idea of faeries being born from the pods/eggs to give a contrast of beauty coming from something ugly.

All told, this took around 20hrs of work in Photoshop CS3.
